Getting ready for tomorrow’s Silk Scarf Painting Workshop here at Marie Dyer Studios …Cowlick Ranch. The class consists of both new students and students who have attended previous classes. So much fun to gather and make new friends. Can't wait!
Here is Heather Lowther holding her Sunflower Hand Painted Journal. Heather entered the contest that we held in March to determine which of two paintings I would donate to Holiday 4 Heroes' April Raffle.
Heather was the lucky winner! I met Heather while teaching a Silk Scarf Painting Workshop in New Hampshire. After she won the journal we chatted and I found out she has a home in Naples.
I would like to thank everyone who participated in the "Pick a Painting Contest" and all who generously donated for the March Holiday 4 Heroes' Raffle. We exceeded our goal and are so grateful for all of you!
Last Friday night brought out thousands of people to stroll downtown ft Myer’s streets, listening to joyous music, eating and drinking from local restaurants all while viewing amazing local art.
I was excited to be there live painting and representing Artbeat Gallery Ft Myers ((just one of many Galleries I represent).
Live painting always gives me the opportunity to meet new people and discuss my art and availability of my painting workshops.
Although I only had two hours to live paint, the painting was a great beginning and will be completed at my home studio. Even though I only painted for two hours I stayed well into the evening to talk with customers.
Remember, I am always available for answering questions about my work and that “every day is a great day to paint”!
Hope to hear from you.
My Best, Marie
